I was delighted to have been invited to the Mallow College of Design fashion show for a second year in a row! How are lucky am I!!! Thanks to my friend Gina for making this possible.

If you already follow my blog you’ll know that I am obsessed with bright colours, crop tops and funky jackets. This show had just that. The wine peplum jacket was my absolute favourite! It wasn’t your average high-street peplum cut, this had gorgeous gathered ruffles and a waist belt. This type of cut is very clever as it creates an illusion of a cinched in waist, which gives beautiful curves. Personally, I would style this jacket with a clashing colour waist belt like Turquoise Blue to draw even more attention to the waistline. It reminded me of a recent photo that Beyonce posted on her Instagram, she was wearing a similar cut jacket with a tribal print and it was such a great fit.

Another one of my favourite pieces was the green and white cape. It was such a statement piece and the colour combination was out of this world. The photo doesn’t do it much justice but there was a lot of uhh’s and ahhh’s when the model stepped out in it.

You can’t go wrong with a crop top and skirt combo…well…in my eyes anyway 🙂

The floral detail was insane! The top was perfect but if I were to wear the skirt, I would have it fitted like a pencil skirt as that would be more suited to my body shape.

I am looking forward to see what next year brings already!
